How do I find a leak in my REEF Mat?Updated 7 days ago
Finding a leak is easier than you'd think. All you need is some soapy water and a few minutes. Here's how to track it down and get back on the water.
What you'll need:
Soapy water solution (a small amount of dish soap mixed with water)
Spray bottle or sponge
Towel or cloth
Tape (optional)
Step-by-step instructions:
Inflate the mat. Fully inflate and pressurize the mat until it's firm.
Do a quick visual scan. Check the surface, seams, valves, and any previous patch areas for visible cuts, punctures, or damage.
Apply the soapy water. Spray or sponge the solution generously over the entire surface — seams, valves, and patches included.
Watch for bubbles. Bubbles forming on the surface point directly to the leak. Mark the spot with tape so you can find it easily later.
Dry it off. Wipe the mat down with a towel and make sure it's completely dry before moving on to repairs.
