Is my REEF Mat valve leaking?Updated 7 days ago

A leaking valve is one of the most common causes of a slow leak, and it's an easy fix you can handle yourself.

First, check if the valve is open. Here's what to look for:

  • Air rushes out immediately after you remove the inflation hose, or

  • Your mat slowly loses pressure down to around 1 PSI

Next, take a look at the white stem in the center of the valve:

  • Valve open (leaking): The white stem is raised higher than the grey housing and the spring has no tension.
  • Valve closed (sealed): The white stem is flush with the grey housing and the spring feels tight with tension.

The fix is simple. Press down on the white stem until you hear a click. Each click alternates between open and closed. That's all it takes!

This fix works across all MISSION inflatables, so keep it in your back pocket for any mat or ISUP.

Still leaking after that? Reach out to our team and we'll help you get back on the water.
